The Sims 4 Cottage Living expansion pack is coming on July 22nd, and trust me guys, if you like The Sims you are going to LOVE this one. We got treated to an event with the devs who walked us through all of the highlights of the expansion, followed by hands-on game play and I am so excited to finally be able to talk about this!
Cottage Living introduces a new world named Henford-on-Bagley. It’s a quaint cottage village, complete with a town fair. You can befriend and raise animals, grow new herbs, vegetables, and crops, and even grow oversized crops that you can enter in the Finchwick Fair competition. You can get fresh eggs and milk from your farm animals, and create superb home cooked meals. There is also an option for your Sims to have groceries and meals delivered right to their door.
There are so many wonderful things that come with this expansion, and one of them is the ability to befriend wild animals. There are rabbits and foxes that will come on your property from time to time, and the rabbits will not only bring you gifts, but if you reach a certain friendship level they will help you with your gardening. The best part: you can buy or earn adorable outfits for not only your rabbits, but all of your farm animals. Even your chickens. It’s quite simply the cutest thing ever.
Cottage Living has new Lot Challenges, as well as a townie NPC with quests which will give you some sweet rewards, including costumes for your pets! Cross-stitching and picnic baskets are also new, and super fun. There are so many little things to find while exploring the new map too!
I absolutely cannot wait for this expansion to launch, it’s by far one of the best of any in the franchise. I was smiling literally the entire time I was playing, and I am very excited to give you guys the full review which will be coming soon. There is no way you want to miss this expansion if you love cute things, and even if you don’t there are still a lot of new ways to challenge yourself in Cottage Living.
