It’s the end of the world as we know it (and Cayde-6 feels fine) in a new live-action trailer for Destiny 2

Yesterday, Activision and Bungie, in collaboration with 72andSunny, RSA Films, and Framestore, have released a new live-action trailer to celebrate the upcoming global launch of Destiny 2. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, with a PC release following suit on October 24.

The two-minute live-action spot, “New Legends Will Rise,” depicts Destiny 2’s heroic character, Cayde-6, as he rallies three Guardians into a battle to defend Earth against the invading Red Legion. The spot is directed by Kong: Skull Island Director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and set to ‘Sabotage’ by Beastie Boys.

The trailer will also be shown on September 2 during the University of Alabama and Florida State University game. Parts epic and tongue-in-cheek, the trailer does show a lot of promise for the game. Let’s just hope the puppies make it out alive this time. Check out Travis’ extensive preview here, and stay tuned for more Destiny 2 news on Gaming Trend.
