Jesus...I'd rather have rough sex with a bear trap than watch that again.
so we just need to lock KD in a room with a bear trap and a indestructible TV that only shows Star Trek the Next Generation season 1 for some hilarious youtube videos? cool.

THis is EXACTLY how I felt about JE-and why I got 7 hours into it 3 times. I do intend to play it on PC when it is released shortly, however. THey say load times are minimal.
Heh, I too am planning on picking up the PC version. Hopefully it will smooth out at least the technical niggles. there were technical issues? I don't remember any in the original release. I'm having trouble picturing how the controls will work on a PC though...

Keep the PS3 msduncan. The CeeKay commands it.
and they gimped Motorstorm??? are they at least going to give a discount if you end up buying the version with MP? Sounds like they rushed it out the door so the PS3 could have a supposed AAA title exclusive for it's launch. Kinda lame, even when I ty the Hetz colored glasses on.

Ok, how about $499? Since that is what a PS3 costs.
Since I'd want the bigger HD and the wireless capabilities, the PS3 is $600 in my book. +1. That teaser looks great, makes me feel the need to get back to FFXII.

Wow...the best you can come back with is Blue Ray, a David Jaffe arcade title, an old PC game, old PSX games, and old Ne0 Geo games? Oh, and Motorstorm, which illustrates my point that the system isn't worth buying until Spring. Sell it and buy it again in the Spring.
Don't forget Poland... er, Resistance! MSD, I forgot to mention you should look at the games coming out and that are out and decide if you actually want to play any of them right away.

As much as I love Firefly I have to admit this sounds like a bad idea. I've played in some Serenity roleplaying games and they've been less than stellar. What made the show was the crew, and without the main crew it was just 'meh'.

I actually have a whole weekend off! :icon_eek: I'm thinking (as long as my PC doesn't start with the 'unmountable boot drive' BS again ) Gothic 3, Gothic 1 and Neverwinter Nights 2 will be getting alot of playtime. Rainbow Six Vegas and Gears of War are a maybe.

I'd say either return it or sell it to one of the members of either board (if anyone is interested that is ). eBay can be a pain in the arse sometimes, so if you don't think you can make a decent profit I'd avoid it.

Seriously though, do you NEED to have the headset and mic to play multi on XBL? It probably depends on the game. Gear of War and Rainbow Six Vegas are kinda hard in MP without being able to communicate with your teammates. Of course it would be nice if it worked like it was supposed to.... Penny Arcade just did a hilarious comic on it. I'd link to it but I'm felling lazy Obviously since you couldn't be bothered to check that last sentence. :slywink: Hey, I was up late last night. Nothing like booting up your PC and getting an instant BSoD with the 'unmountable boot drive' error repeatedly at 2am in the morning. CHKDSK /R FTW!

Y'all are all amateurs. I currently have 419 "films" in the queue with 1019 ratings. heh, I routinely had to wait for titles to ship to me so I could add them to my queue as I almost always had it maxed at 500 (I'd add stuff in and occasionally re-organize the list depending on what I felt like getting) and at least 2000 movies rated. I cancelled Netflix recently though as they started throttling my movies (I call BS that the post office is so slow that they deliver exactly 2 movies at a time, even when I sent 6 back).

On dialup from my freshman dorm room. That would have been '96-'97.
Are you trying to make some of us feel old? (old man voice) Back when I was a freshman in college, we didn't have the internet! (old man voice off) I do remember posting on newsgroups back in '91 when I started college and I'll admit to a month or two of MUD; we thought things were cool back then with that. BBS's man.... The old ones that could only have 1 user connected at a time FTW! dial up, post, log out, wait a bit, dial up to see if there was a response, repeat as necessary....

After being reminded with those quotes I have to go with HK-47. I honestly don't have a favorite character I don't think. I don't make a connection with the characters and merely see them as a means to an end.

Now lets get back to If I drop a PS3 taped to the 360's Powerbrick from higher than 2 stories, I think I could slay me a KnightShade Dragon. It would fall through the Earth and come out in China. After having been totally immersed in "liquid, hot Mag-ma" [/dr evil] I say we steal Hetz's PS3 and try out this experiment

The initial load time is an abomination. I seriously felt like it was 20 years ago and I was waiting on my 1541 disk drive to do whatever the fuck it did so slowly. I usually start loading the game and the grab a drink/take the dogs out/make a sandwich, so it's not like I'm actually sitting there waiting The game, the series, is plagued with bugs and horrible localization. The voice overs are just...my god, what the fuck? Who could have signed off on such horrible work? The guy that does Gorn, like the 2nd or third person that talks...its just...holy crap, it would be hard to come off sounding so horrible even if you were trying. Yeah, surfer/stoner Gorn was pretty hilarious, but then again I've given up on decent voice acting in games. Hell, the adopted father in NWN2 practically put me to sleep whenever he started a speech. The game is a great concept (but really the first one was the gem, the whole trapped in prison thing was very cool) but poorly executed for the third iteration in a row. Their UI continues to suck as well, the combat is a complete twitch fest, I shit you not. Swing as fast as you can and its hard to lose. Try to get fancy and you are fucked early and often. I'm playing Gothic 1 concurrently with 3 (I still have to track down 2) and I like 3's UI alot better (not having to use arrow key/mouse button combo to talk/open a chest is nice). I was hoping combat was going to be deeper, but you're right that it's mainly a twitch fest. I just got the 2 weapon skill so I'm hoping for some neat combos. I would pass on this game for about 6 months and see where the patches take it.
NWN2, while also plagued with slap your forehead in amazement bugs, is much more enjoyable for me.
Like NWN2 I really haven't ran into any bugs yet. I'm liking both G3 and NW2 equally.
