Anyone see it this weekend?  I did, and I recommend it.  I thought it was pretty funny and Angelina Jolie is always nice to look at. biggrin

Entertaining film, of course I am easily entertained. slywink There were some good laughs in there. The action is a wee bit exaggerated, anyone looking for realism in their action should look elsewhere. Tongue

It was good, but about 15 minutes too long, IMO.  I kept looking at my watch.  And the last action scene is just *so* ridiculously over the top...

I LOVED the over the top nature of the final action scene.  Reminded me of my favorite John Woo Hong Kong flicks.

Yeah, when they burst out with their guns (I don't think that's too much of a spoiler), I couldn't help but think to myself, "OK, they should *so* be dead right now".  But then again, the point of action movies is generally that the people are ridiculously awesome, so I guess it works.

Ok, so what leading man has Angelina Jolie worked with and not screwed? smile Is she slutty? Or just free-spirited? slywink

I sure every male actor who's agent tell him he got him a part opposite Angelina Jolie gets an extra booty commission.

Considernig the action she was giving her brother at an awards show a couple years back, I'd go with free-spirit.

I do pronounce this to be the definition of hot:

But seriously, do you think they'll start having trouble getting married men to star with Angelina Jolie?  They'll have to call their agents and be like "uh, yeah, I'd like to star in this blockbuster, but my wife says I can't"

Ridiculously fun movie 'till the car chase.  After that, it just kinda limps along to its (unsatisfying) conclusion.

Speaking of the car chase, Doug Liman did a good job of channeling James Cameron circa True Lies.  The second door bit had me and my wife rolling.

Wonderful summer action popcorn flick. Great chemistry, great action, clever enough script, brad pitt is closing in on my list of favorite actors, etc etc.

Lots of fun!

I agree with all positive comments. I had a great time at the movies this past Saturday.

Now Batman Begins just has to not suck and I will have had a good few months at the movies.

The wife and I saw this today and I flat-out loved it, up to and including the car chase and the ending. I won't argue it seemed like it just kind of ended, but I still thought it was hilarious. Vince Vaughn pretty much owned every scene he was in, Brad Pitt I've always considered a vastly underrated comedic actor, and Angelina Jolie was actually pretty funny herself. Will wonders never cease. I absolutely love True Lies, and it was great having this as a companion piece. The final running gun battle must have been staged by a fan of Hard Boiled, though I never saw the tricycle from the previews.

My highlights:

"Wow, those doors are useful!"

"WHAT'S HER NAME AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER?!?!"

Vince Vaughn pretty much anytime he was talking. smile

"I don't understand the question."

Pitt's quick use of golf clubs during a high speed chase.

Pitt vs. Jolie = me laughing hysterically at the magnificent wanton destruction

"Six."

The "cameo" of Jolie's boss.

"Hey Bill!"

Pitt's accidental firearm discharge, and the realization of how monumentally screwed he is.

"Oh dear God."

Jolie's facial expression(s) while holding a baby.

"Really great store!"

Pitt's hand signal at the end. biggrin

I saw it with the wife a few weeks ago, and I wasn't expecting the amount of humor that is in it especially the "married" type stuff.

I thought it was a great movie, and I'm also a big Vince Vaughn fan. The guy cracks me up every time he speaks. He was pretty funny in Be Cool too.
