They've apparently released a patch that fixed the crash issues in Dngeon Keeper 2. Hope so, as it was completely unplayable in its previous state (crashed every 3-4 minutes).

Post-patch. Pre-patch I couldn't get into a game at all without it crashing or giving me a black screen.

some shots are from the Gold Edition, which updated the graphics, and you can easily tell which is which. I'd be tempted if I didn't have the most recent remake.

And Ultima 9 is up there too. Which I'm somewhat tempted to get as I only played the demo that didn't work very well but have always been curious about it.

Loved and hated Bioforge. It looked absolutely fantastic at the time, and I loved the theme, but the controls were just awful. And for a hand-to-hand combat/adventure game it made it so difficult and frustrating. Ended up finishing the game though and seem to recall there was an add-on for it which I hadn't played. Doesn't look like that's included here though.
Probably get it if it goes on sale as I'll probably play it for 30 minutes and give up.

There was supposed to be a Bioforge+ expansion, they even had ads in PC Gamer, but it never got released. I really enjoyed the game when it came out (I still have the original CD), but man, the graphics looks pretty bad now.

Looks like they've added smattering of Mac ports to their offerings. Some are native ports, some use SCUMMVM and Boxer for compatibility.

GoG just added free expansions to three EA games, Alpha Centauri, Wing Commander 1 + 2, and Wing Commander Privateer. I know a few people around here were miffed at the missing Alien Crossfire expansion for SMAC. Well, rejoice and redownload. Or buy if you've held off, they're still sale priced.

missed it during their holiday sale, but could this Letter to Santa have a hint of things to come? We keep hoping for another of our "top" publishers to show up on GOG.com--and so far we're two for two in the last two years of wishing. So we're going to wish for another one in 2013. Our warmest wishes would be to bring LucasArts or Take Two into our catalog; both of these companies have fantastic games, and we know our gamers would love to see them join GOG as well. We want to sign more great games, more indies, more top-notch games, more games that keep that gaming passion alive in every pixel and mip-mapped texture. We also want to bring new tools on the website for our our users to share more, and even help developers grow more successful by bringing their games to GOG.com

More classic RPG goodness - Wizardry 6,7, and 8 are now available. Wiz 6 & 7 (and Wiz Gold) are $5.99 together, while Wiz8 is $9.99.

Sweet. Just picked up Wiz 8. I think I gave my discs to my brother years ago. Can't wait to try it again. I do have a question about the Wiz 6 and 7 pack. I never played those, so I'm curious how compelling they are or if they are considered "better" than Wiz 8. I ask because I consider Might and Magic VI better than VIII. I would like to start with the "best" game between Wiz 6, 7, and 8.

Fantastic! Been pining to play Wiz 8 again for awhile. I seem to have misplaced the 2nd CD for it so couldn't install it last time I looked.

I liked Wiz 8 a lot more than the other two and I'm pretty sure that's the only Wizardry game I finished. I recall giving up on Wiz 6 because it was just so damn difficult. And I'm pretty sure in Wiz 7 I got stuck on a puzzle somewhere and said the hell with it. Wiz 8 also serves up a 3D environment where 6/7 are the traditional tile movement with turn based combat. Wiz 8 is a 3D world but if I recall right still turn-based combat. I think purists for CRPGs will say 6/7 are the better games but both those games are so punishing at times. They are much more difficult than the M&M games, excluding M&M1, if that's what you are used to. I don't recall Wiz 8 ever getting quite the accolades 6/7 got from fans but I loved it. Great graphics for the time, some good puzzles, and the unique universe Wizardry became. Out of the three games I would say 8 would be the easier one to get in to and stick with.
