Legend of Dragoon to PS1 Classics on PSN.

Now if only they'd get PS1 games working on Vita.

Is PS1 game functionality something that was even announced for the Vita?

No, which is a shame.  I might actually get some use out of my Vita if it played PS1 games.

They have mentioned in a couple of places that PS1 support is "coming soon"

It's odd that Sony waited so long to put this on PSN, given that it's their game.  I really wish they'd made a sequel to this.  The translation was pretty bad, but it has one of the most enjoyable battle systems in any JRPG.  I wish more RPG creators would realize that timed button press combat systems are both a lot of fun and popular among people who've played them.  Both Legend of Dragoon and the Shadow Hearts series have loyal followings, and I think a big part of their popularity is due to the excellent combat systems.

I've heard that as well. My vita is getting a shitpot of use, but I would play a few ps1 games.
