Wil Wheaton joins up with Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon

Wil Wheaton is a gamer, through and through, so I’m more than happy to announce that he’s taking up an advisor role to help out a game called Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon on mobile platforms.  What’s he doing?  Well, let’s find out!

It’s not every day that an actor tells you to raise your baby dragon and train it to obliterate your enemies, until now. Wil Wheaton (Tabletop, The Big Bang Theory, The Wil Wheaton Project) has joined an alliance with Kabam, the leader in the western world for free-to-play games for traditional players, for an in-game campaign that engages millions of players on an exclusive quest in the world of Atlantis.

The global campaign runs from April 18 to 28 and features weekly Tweets and personal video messages from Wheaton also known as “Advisor Wheaton” on @WilW and Tumblr, and Kabam’s YouTube and Twitter @DoAMobile.

“Ever since I first played Civilization way back on my Mac II, I’ve loved strategy games and Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is awesome. I’ve always been direct and honest with people who read my blog and follow me on social networks, and I can honestly say that I think people will really like this game,” said Wheaton. “This quest I worked with Kabam to put together is really cool, too, and a great way for new players to discover some of the fun things Dragons of Atlantis has to offer. For those who are trying it for the first time, and for those who are already veteran Lords or Ladies of Atlantis, we have some super cool in-game prizes for everyone who plays with Advisor Wheaton. Did I mention you get to raise a dragon and train it to rain down fiery death on your sworn enemies? Because you do, and it’s awesome!”

Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is available for free on the App Store and Google Play. For full details on the “Advisor Wheaton” in-game event, visit the “Events and Contests” page on the game’s forum at http://community.kabam.com and follow @DoAMobile on Twitter for on-going updates.

About Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon

Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is the first mobile game allowing players to raise their own army of Dragons while rebuilding the glory of Atlantis. A mystical invite stirs in people a deep longing to journey to this mystical land to defend the majesty of the Dragons, as they fight for survival against the evil barbarians. The time has come for a Hero to emerge, to rebuild ruined cities and rediscover ancient wisdom. Players build armies and raise Dragons, as they prepare to lead an army of glorious beasts into the very heart of battle to save Atlantis. Game features include:

· Raise Mighty Dragons: Watch your dragons grow from young hatchlings, into armor-clad, fire-breathing death dealers.

· Rebuild the glory of Atlantis: Recover lost wisdom and reclaim Atlantis from the savage Anthropus.

· Customize your Dragons: Discover Dragon eggs and watch as they hatch into 3D, fully interactive dragons, featuring over 50 unique animations.

· Forge alliances with other players: Join an alliance to share the wisdom of the ancients as you strategize in real-time live chat and fight together in fierce conflicts and epic battles.

The game is free-to-play and available on Google Play and the App store.    You can check out the first of several videos with Wil about his role in helping bring this game together.   Stay tuned!
