Ska Studios has recently announced that its brutal soulslike platformer Salt and Sanctuary will be available on the Nintendo Switch on August 2. Featuring notoriously challenging battles and the addition of co-op, you’ll be able to take the adventure on the go wherever you are (even if you already have the Vita version).
After seemingly dying at the hands of an abyssal abomination, a figure known only as the Saltborn is shipwrecked on a haunted, forgotten island. Build and arm the Saltborn to your liking: wield 16 weapon types, don armor that offers abilities and changes your appearance, cast elemental magic, and unlock new abilities via a massive skill tree.
Local co-op gives players a better chance at cleaving through twenty horrifying bosses and discover the game’s multiple endings. New Game+ and special challenges (including no rolling or blocking) offer replayability for the brave.
