If you’ve ever had an interest in making your Xbox 360 look, well, not like an Xbox 360, this is by far the best opportunity yet. Calibur11, a company that specializes in accessories for gamers, has created the Gears of War Vault for Xbox 360 Slim models. The Vault is a supplemental case that basically fits over the console without requiring any alteration of the actual Xbox 360 case, but it goes way further than being a simple shell.
“We are huge fans of the ‘Gears of War’ franchise and really wanted to raise the bar with our exclusive Gears of War 3 Vault,” said Coy Christmas, CEO of Calibur11. “We believe we have succeeded in doing so with the addition of the different color modes and the Infected Omen which reacts every time you get downed or are revived in the game.”
The GoW Vault consists of the chassis, body panels, and locking mechanisms. The coolest feature is the controller cradle and what is called the Infected Omen. You see that big red glowing face? That thing actually has four different color modes and, best of all, while you’re playing Gears of War 3 the face will glow red when you are downed by an enemy, alerting you to recover and get back into the action.
The Gears of War Vault will be available in September to coincide with the Gears of War 3 release date, and will be available for $89.99. Head to the official product website for further details.
