Today, Sega released a three-part live action series to drum up anticipation for the next major installment in the Yakuza series, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
All three of these shorts were produced on location in Tokyo and were directed by Christopher Ewing in collaboration with Liquid Advertising. Each short is inspired by a subplot in the Yakuza series, such as “The Bouncer” and “Prodigal Son” from Yakuza Kiwami and “Another Hakura” from Yakuza 5.
Characters are revisited several years after their fateful first meeting with Kiryu, and we see how their lives have changed since then. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the series, or just being introduced Kiryu’s legends for the first time, you’ll have a newfound respect for the Dragon of Dojima after experiencing these stories.
Stories of the Dragon:
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be released in the West on April 17th, 2018 exclusively on PlayStation 4. For more information on the game or the “Stories of the Dragon” shorts, visit the official website.
