This new game has players taking the role of researchers scouring the wilderness for species once believed extinct. The Search for Lost Species is being produced by a factory that makes eco-friendly decisions, features paper components created with fast-growing sugarcane, and does not use plastic components. In The Search for Lost Species, coming to Kickstarter Jan 31st from Renegade Game Studios, players take on the role of researchers combing the wilderness to find species that were previously thought extinct. Organizations like Re:wild, who we partnered with when creating this game, work with local and indigenous people, as well as scientific expeditions to gather information and sometimes find these previously thought extinct species.
*The Search for Lost Species is a conservation-themed board game that was produced with an eye towards sustainability at every stage
*It’s produced by a factory that makes eco-friendly decisions, such as utilizing solar power and grey-water recycling in their manufacturing process.
*The game features paper components created with fast-growing sugarcane rather than traditional lumber, which takes longer to renew.
*No plastic components! Game is sealed with small adhesive tabs rather than shrinkwrap, and component storage envelopes are paper.
*The Lost Species featured in-game are real species that organizations like Re:wild are searching for to confirm their survival.Each lost species has its own unique habitat rule for increased replayability!
