The highly-anticipated Subnautica 2 has finally hit Early Access. With over 5 million wishlists and over a million copies sold ahead of that launch, it's pretty clear there's some excitement here! Already hitting a "Very positive" rating on Steam, it seems like it's also a solid launch. Let's hear about it from Fernando Melo, Executive Producer of Subnautica 2:
The Early Access launch of Subnautica 2 marks the beginning of an adventure to chart the unknown deep alongside players worldwide, player feedback is the compass guiding our direction, and we will continue building the experience together with the community throughout Early Access.

The team has a number of very exciting features that players like myself have anticipated since the first game, including co-op. Here's a bit about the game and its origins:

Developed by Unknown Worlds, founded by Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire, Subnautica 2 is the official sequel to the genre-defining Subnautica series, which has sold more than 18.5 million copies worldwide. Set on a new alien world within the Subnautica universe, the sequel introduces new ecosystems, enhanced visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, and for the first time in the series, optional co-op for up to four players, allowing players to survive and explore together.
