STi to Showcase Gaming Motion Simulators at 2024 PlayX4 B2B: Aiming for Pan-Asian Market Expansion

ServoTechnique (STi) (CEO Yong-An Lee) has announced its participation in the upcoming ‘2024 PlayX4 B2B’ at KINTEX Hall 1 in Ilsan from May 23rd to 26th.

Since 2016, STi has been developing its gaming motion simulator business as part of its future projects, consistently presenting new products at PlayX4. With a focus on home products, STi strives to enhance customers’ lives with entertaining solutions. In 2020, the company expanded into the home healthcare sector, introducing various consumer-focused items.

STi’s products are actively utilized for research purposes in several universities and have garnered interest from companies such as Ford Korea’s DSFL (Driving Skill for Life) event and Hyundai Glovis’s Safe Driving Experience event. The company is also negotiating export deals with buyers from the UAE and Australia.

STi will showcase two key products at the upcoming exhibition: the Tara motion simulator and the HSS fixed simulator. The 2DOF (two degrees of freedom) motion simulator model, Tara, is designed to offer significant enjoyment within a small space and support users up to 200 kg. It supports VR integration and is compatible with PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. STi also offers a DIY version and rental services.

The HSS fixed simulator is developed for customers who find motion simulators inconvenient. It uses the frame from Australia’s renowned Hyperdriver and features adjustable seat height and depth to maximize comfort. Additionally, it can accommodate various monitor sizes, offering greater flexibility for consumers.

An STi representative commented, “Despite our efforts to create new products, the demand for harmless games like racing games remains relatively low in Korea. However, interest in racing and simulators is gradually increasing, which is encouraging. Through this exhibition, we hope to connect with investors interested in racing and simulators and ensure our products become a source of daily enjoyment and vitality for consumers.”

STi also revealed that they have received proposals from companies in Southeast Asia, including Singapore and Vietnam, as well as Southwest and Central Asia, regarding market entry. They look forward to meeting more companies that can create synergy through local sales, production, distribution, and export in these regions.

The representative added, “It is promising that the gaming industry in these countries is growing, with an increasing proportion of harmless games. If given the opportunity, we want to participate in game shows in many countries. We aim to promote our products effectively and, if necessary, engage in local production to reach more consumers and contribute to their enjoyment and happiness. Beyond simulators, we hope to realize our vision with consumers in various countries.”

Hosted by Gyeonggi-do and organized by Gyeonggi Content Agency and KINTEX, the 2024 PlayX4 B2B event will showcase new releases and experiences from domestic and international game companies under “More than the Fun of Games.” The event will also feature various side programs, including a retro market, e-sports competitions, and cosplay events.
