Today, GungHo Online Entertainment America and Nihon Falcom announced that Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is officially releasing on September 17th, 2026; just under a year after 1st Chapter. You can watch the new trailer below. (Major spoilers for 1st Chapter to follow.)
Additionally, GungHo revealed the English voice cast, with some changes from 1st Chapter:
Newly Announced:
- Anelace Elfead – Cassandra Lee Morris
- Kevin Graham – Ray Chase
- Mueller Vander – Patrick Seitz
- Julia Schwarz – Gabriella Certo
- Leonhardt – Stephen Fu
- Georg Weissmann – Liam O’Brien
- Renne – Courtney Lin

Strangely, Liam O'Brien will be taking over Weissmann/Professor Alba from David Lodge, and Leonhardt/Lorence Belgar will now be played by Stephen Fu instead of Travis Willingham. I thought both actors gave great performances in 1st Chapter, so recasting them is odd. It could simply be scheduling conflicts, though, as the main cast remains the same:
- Estelle Bright – Stephanie Sheh
- Joshua Bright – Johnny Yong Bosch
- Scherazard Harvey – Michelle Ruff
- Olivier Lenheim – Matthew Mercer
- Agate Crosner – Ben Pronsky
- Tita Russell – Brianna Knickerbocker
- Kloe Rinz – Cristina Vee
- Zin Vathek – Vic Chao

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter picks up right where 1st Chapter left off: with the coup thwarted, but Oroboros still threatening Liberl's peace and Joshua having run away from his family after learning the truth about his past. Estelle will hone her skills as a Bracer and travel around the country once more, to thwart Oroboros and save her adopted brother from himself.
Pre-orders for the game are available now, including for the Golden Wings Edition, on Switch, Switch 2, PC, and PlayStation 5. An upgrade pack for the Switch 1 version will be available for $4.99, and a season pass will become available to purchase on all platforms for a variety of cosmetic DLC.
