Paverson Games has announced a new game in their Distilled line that shortens the time to craft the perfect spirits:
Paverson Games is thrilled to announce its next direct-to-retail project, Small Batch: A Distilled Game. Designed by Ben Rosset (Fromage, Brew Crafters, Game Makers) with art by Erik Evensen (Distilled, Class of ‘89), this new release builds on the best-selling, award-winning foundation of our flagship title to offer a shorter, faster, and more accessible way to experience the fine art of crafting spirits. One might even say that this is a distilled Distilled!

Small Batch is a standalone experience designed to capture the essence of Distilled in a tighter, high-intensity package. While the visual style and core theme will feel immediately familiar to fans of the original, Small Batch introduces fresh, crunchy mechanics that streamline the distillation process, making it the perfect entry point for new distillers yet also an exciting challenge for our returning Distilled veterans.
A New Blend of Your Favorite Spirited Strategy Game
Familiar Core Gameplay: Small Batch utilizes the much loved and highly thematic heads & tails mechanic from the original game. Collect ingredients and distill different recipes from around the world. Invest in powerful upgrades, and add special bottles and barrels to improve your spirits.
Variable Action Drafting: Small Batch introduces a dynamic action selection system where players must carefully manage not only which action to take, but when to take it. Each action in the central board rises and falls in power as it cycles through the row, creating a constantly evolving strategic puzzle where timing is just as important as the action itself.
Constant Engagement with the 'Follow' Mechanic: No more waiting for someone else’s turn to finish in Small Batch. The new 'follow' system ensures every player stays invested in the game at all times, allowing you to react to and capitalize on the actions being taken across the table, even when it isn't your turn.
Card-Based Portability: Designed as an almost entirely card-based experience, Small Batch strips away the excess to deliver a heavy strategic experience that is as easy to throw in a backpack as it is to set up on a coffee table, making strategic and thematic gaming possible anywhere.
As we march toward our Q2 2027 release, we encourage everyone to follow our progress. Stay tuned for more updates, art reveals, and further details about its release.
