Today, Zymartu Games released a demo for Fields of Aaru alongside being featured in the Women-Led Games Showcase during Summer Game Fest. The game takes players to the afterlife in Ancient Egypt, where they can build, craft, and unearth secrets.

In Fields of Aaru, you will settle along the fertile banks of the Nile in Aaru, the paradise of Egyptian mythology. There you will build a home, restore a struggling riverside community, and spend peaceful days farming, fishing, gathering resources, and crafting tools inspired by ancient Egyptian life.

Beyond the calm riverbanks of the Nile lies a much greater mystery.

You will venture out into the open desert to discover hidden oases, forgotten ruins, towering pyramids, and mysterious tombs buried beneath the sands. Along the way, you'll uncover ancient knowledge, gather rare materials, and restore long-dormant obelisks that unlock new regions and powers across the world.
Fields of Aaru Key Features:
  • Farm, fish, gather resources, and shape the land through irrigation systems
  • Restore the village and help locals through quests and town upgrades
  • Explore deserts, oases, tombs, and ancient ruins filled with secrets
  • Earn blessings and powers from Egyptian gods through offerings and shrines
