Nintendo reveals new Switch (OLED model) coming this Fall

On July 6, Nintendo announced the release of the new Switch model, the Nintendo Switch (OLED model), coming out October 8, 2021.

This new model features a seven inch OLED screen (up from the previous model’s 6.2 inch screen), a wide adjustable stand for tabletop mode, 64 GB of internal storage, a LAN port in the Switch’s dock, and enhanced audio (which most likely means better onboard speakers).

The Switch (OLED model) will sell for $349.99 at launch, 50 dollars more than the launch price of the original console. It will support all existing Nintendo Switch games and Joy-Con controllers. Upon launch, the OLED model will come in two styles: white, or neon red/neon blue.

This news comes after rumors of a “Nintendo Switch Pro” floated around, hinting at a more powerful system with a better battery life and CPU. This just goes to show that not everything you read on the Internet is true.
