The Mortal Shell II Open Beta, which launched during Summer Game Fest two weeks ago, has now crossed 500,000 downloads. Player response has been overwhelmingly positive, with the beta currently sitting at a 93% positive rating across more than 1,800 Steam reviews!
The Open Beta will remain available for a while longer, giving anyone who hasn't tried it yet a chance to dive in via Steam. Mortal Shell II is a dark fantasy action RPG from Cold Symmetry that has been in development for more than three years, with a 2026 release planned for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
