2K Sports’ Major League Baseball 2K12 may be the very last game released for the Playstation 2. That isn’t the version you’ll see in the official trailer after the jump, but it says something about the ease of working with old and familiar hardware that they’d port versions to the PS2 and Nintendo DS, but not to the 3DS or Vita.
Anyhow, the press release accompanying this in-engine footage encourages you to “check out the attention to detail in the all-new catcher animations, updated logos and uniforms including the brand new Miami Marlins stadium, diving catches, 100 MPH fastballs and all-new hit types thanks to improved ball physics.”
MLB 2K12 for the 360, PS3, PC, PSP, Wii, DS, and yes, the Playstation 2 on March 6th.
