From the looks of this thirteen minute long game play demo of Metro: Last Light, one of the significant new survival mechanics will involve keeping your mask clean. You read that right: everything from rain water to vermin to congealing blood splatters have the potential to obscure your vision, leaving you to weigh when you can spare a moment to lower your weapon and wipe it clean.
