It’s time to pack a wallop, Cuphead now available on PlayStation 4

Remember the buzz when Cuphead became available on Nintendo Switch last year? Studio MDHR has just announced that its run-and-gun boss rush game is now available on PlayStation 4. While the game’s Delicious Last Course is still on the horizon, PS4 gamers will now have the opportunity to

From the official Studio MDHR blog:

Today, we’re thrilled to bring you an exceptionally exciting announcement: Cuphead is coming to PlayStation 4 … and by golly, it’s OUT NOW!! For the occasion, we’ve prepared a very special trailer featuring a brand new original song from the Devil’s right hand man himself, King Dice.

Like so many of you, we grew up exploring the worlds of classic PlayStation titles, from Resident Evil to Vandal Hearts. It’s surreal to think about players adventuring through the Inkwell Isles with a PlayStation controller in hand! (Fun fact: there’s a character in Super Bust-A-Move 2 for the PlayStation 2 that helped influence the visual design of Beppi the Clown.)

When we first set out to make Cuphead, we were just a tiny team of two brothers working nights and weekends on a small passion project. It is thanks to the support of the dedicated folks at Microsoft that we were able to achieve our vision for the game, and thanks to the passion of the Xbox community that Cuphead found an audience.

So, to celebrate the wonderful players who believed in us from the very beginning, we’re also making another announcement: we will be bringing a free Special Update to Cuphead fans on Xbox, which will add a digital art gallery, behind-the-scenes commentary features, and playable soundtrack to the game. This update is still in the early planning stages, and we’ll be taking the time to get things just right, but we will be sure to share more when we have something for you that meets the level of care and quality we always strive for.

And to the impassioned PlayStation community that has sent us so many heartfelt messages over the years: we can’t wait for you to experience a swell battle of your very own!!
