At the Xbox showcase during E3, Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios revealed Back 4 Blood’s new PvP mode, Swarm. Swarm features powerful, playable zombies known as Ridden. These ridden nine playable forms of zombies, all with unique ways to kill and spread chaos among the humans they combat. As a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood is quickly shaping up to be one to look out for.
For those looking to get their hands on the game early, an open beta starts August 12-16, with an early access portion for those who pre-order the game taking place August 5-9. For a chance to get into the early access portion without pre-ordering, sign up here. Both betas as well as the main game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Cross-play and cross-gen support is included across all platforms, and the game is set to release October 12, 2021.
