Gen Con today announced the registration dates, badge prices and COVID-19 protocols for Gen Con Indy 2022. The con will run August 4 to 7 in the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. Gen Con will also host virtual Gen Con Online events and Pop-Up Gen Con in-store events.
According to Gen Con President, David Hoppe,
“After a successful return to in-person events in 2021, we can’t wait to return to Indianapolis for Gen Con Indy 2022. We look forward to celebrating 55 years of Gen Con with attendees in-person in the Indiana Convention Center, online through our livestreaming and Gen Con Online virtual events, and across the country at Pop-Up Gen Con in-store activations.”
Four-day and single-day badge sales start January 30 at 12 p.m. EST. Gen Con Online-only badge sales start May 8. Pop-Up Gen Con badge sales start June 19.

Attendees who rolled their 2020 or 2021 badges to 2022 will find their badges on their Gen Con account. Attendees may receive instructions on how to claim their rolled-over badges. Refunds start January 30, attendees can contact Gen Con customer service at [email protected] with full name and account information. There will not be an option to roll over badges to 2023.
Housing registration will begin February 13 at 12 p.m. EST. Ticketed event registration will open May 15 at 12 p.m. EST.
Everyone at Gen Con Indy will need to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Masks will be required indoors unless actively eating or drinking in designated areas.
