Bandai Namco recently announced at E3 its plans to release the upcoming action-RPG Code Vein later next year. The game will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully or risk becoming one of The Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.
Code Vein’s third-person RPG mechanics task you with creating a character and choosing a partner (complete with different stories and combat style) as you fight monsters while using “Gifts” powered by enemy blood to destroy adversaries. The game will be voiced in Japanese and English dual audio as well.
Code Vein will be released next year for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Check out the gallery above for some bloody good screens and a trailer, and stay tuned for more E3 news here on Gaming Trend.
