Hello! Welcome to this week’s Friday Tabletop Kickstarter Update! For info on what is going on here, check out this introduction. Looking at my list of upcoming projects, this is simply a calm before a huge storm of kickstarters that are concluding in August. Be prepared!
Remember that I am in no way endorsing these games, I have not played them, I have not talked to the publishers. Back at your own risk.

27th Passenger: A Hunt On Rails
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Deduction
27th Passenger looks like it could be made into a great crime noir film. The art harkens back to an older time of bowler hats and flappers. 27th Passenger is a deduction game, but it is hard to get a feel for what type of game it is without watching a long youTube review or downloading the rules directly. It still looks interesting enough that I would play it if I had the chance.

District-Z
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Zombies and Cards
I really like the aesthetic choice of using photographs for character cards in zombie games, and District-Z is no exception. It looks like players are transversing a grid of city blocks, using face down cards to randomize the encounters. The only thing that worries me is the Game Crafter looking components. Just be aware that these may not be the highest quality.

[redacted]
Apparent Weight: Medium
Genre: Deduction, Spycraft, Hidden Roles
Another deduction game for the list, [redacted] looks to be a little more hidden role oriented than 27th Passenger. Each player is attempting to move around a building collecting intel, all the while attempting to thwart their opponents. Insert cliche James Bond joke here… No, Mr. Jones, I want you to die!

Eight-Minute Empire: Lost Lands
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Area control, Filer-with-strategy
When first looking over the campaign page, I was a little surprised to see the “everything” level at forty two dollars. That is more than I would pay for a filler, let alone an expansion for a filler. The expansion itself includes new leaders, new player boards and even components for a fifth player. For those people who are fans, this looks like a good expansion to be excited about.

Musée
Apparent Weight: Light
Genre: Museum building, Art
Yet another in Eagle Gryphon’s art game collection. Players compete to build their own highfalutin art museums. After just playing a previous art themed title by Eagle Gryphon, Cubist, I am interested to see where this one goes.

From Trading in the Mediterranean to FPS, I love games. While I grew up in a house without consoles, PC gaming and board gaming were a large part of my formative years, and continue to influence my life. In this golden age of board gaming, I have jumped in headfirst in to anything table top. As a ludilogical student, I love thinking about how games work, their mechanics, their elegance and most importantly, enjoying how fun they are.
Favorite Board Game (at the moment): Twilight Struggle
Favorite PC Game (base solely on play time): Tie between WoW and DII
