A Plague Tale: Innocence by Asobo Studio is a few weeks away from being released, but today, Focus Home Interactive announced that they aren’t done with the partnership with the French development studio. A Plague Tale: Innocence is not only the first collaboration between Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive, it marks the debut of the studio’s first in-house project.
“Focus Home Interactive is very proud to count Asobo, an incredibly talented French development studio, among its continuing partners. It is impressive to see what the studio is achieving with A Plague Tale – their very first in-house project. They have all the talent and creativity to build moving, entertaining, and emotional experiences, and we will continue giving them all our support to let them imagine and create amazing games in the future,” said John Bert, COO of Focus Home Interactive.
“During our first collaboration on A Plague Tale: Innocence, we forged a strong relationship with Focus Home Interactive, based on shared values of commitment, and a perpetual search for quality and originality. Today, we’re excited to continue this pioneering partnership with Focus on our new creation, which will take players out on a journey to a land of adventure,” commented David Dedeine, CCO and Co-founder of Asobo Studio.
Founded in 2002, Asobo Studio assisted in the production of titles such as Zoo Tycoon, ReCore, The Crew, and more. There aren’t yet any details on the new game being developed by the studio, but more details should be available later this year. A Plauge Tale: Innocence, the first game in the partnership between the two studios, will be released on May 14th, 2019.
