We had a bit of a mixed bag when we reviewed Firewall Ultra in the fall, but the bones were there for a good experience. More is coming, which leaves us hopeful, and it’s begun with two new maps. The latest patch has brought with it Lab, an evacuated research facility, and Stronghold, a remote military compound. Check out the patch notes below.
Patch 1.12 Summary:
- New map: Lab! – An evacuated Northern European research facility.
- New map: Stronghold! – A remote military compound flanked by wildfires.
- Lightweight perk speed boost reduced by 5%.
- Conditioned perk resistance increased by 15%.
- Increase the payouts for Black Road Assignments.
- Decrease the steps required to complete Black Road Assignments.
- Decrease the required number of completed Black Road Assignments to unlock Tier 2 and Tier 3 for each dealer.
- Adjustments made for one-handed weapon accuracy.
- Updates and improvements to AI behavior in PvE.
- Other general bug fixes.
First Contact Entertainment | Westlake Village, CA, December 8, 2023 — Today we’re pleased to announce the release of Patch 1.12 in Firewall Ultra! This patch is a big one as it adds an infusion of two brand-new free maps to the game, among several other changes and targeted updates.
As you can see, the biggest news in Patch 1.12 is the introduction of our first two new maps since launch! Both maps are entirely free for all players and will work across both PvP and PvE game modes.

Lab takes players to a Northern European research facility that’s been evacuated following a containment breach. Check out our map walkthrough tour video right here.
