Final Fantasy VII Now Available For PC Download

After a false start with an early release then removal of the game from their website, Square Enix has now made Final Fantasy VII officially available for digital download for $9.99 today. This deal is only for the first 30 days, after which the game is $11.99. Now you can enjoy all the Popeye arms and teenage angst from one of the biggest and best games of the Playstation One era, complete with all new features:

New features include cloud saves and a character booster that allows players to maximize characters health, magic, and gil. Also planned is an in-game achievement system which allows players to explore various facets of the game and share progress with friends online.

You can pick it up here at their official website. I’m kinda excited to check this out. I’m not entirely sure the new features justify spending another $9.99 on a game I already own on the Playstation Network, but I do like achievements…

I've been gaming since my dad made the bad decision of buying me a Nintendo when I was four years old. Every day I'd find myself with my face glued to a TV screen, punching away at buttons, getting furious with Bowser, Dr. Wily, and those freakin' birds in Ninja Gaiden. Since then I have failed to get my parents to play any board game with me, I sold my full copy of Earthbound with box and guide for $300 to some dude in Austria for rent money, and I still believe in Nintendo even after all these years.
