Embark drops update 1.40 for ARC Raiders

Embark have dropped update 1.40 for ARC Raiders, bringing a new cosmetic set to wishlist, more on the crossover with The Finals, and the start of the Phantom Targets Project. For full details, read the information below:

Today, Embark Studios launched the 1.40 Store update for the extraction adventure, ARC Raiders. The update introduces the new ‘Phantom Targets’ Player Project, while Embark’s cross-game summer celebration with THE FINALS continues, and wishlisting opens for the new Tick Hunter Set. Players can also look forward to the continuation of the ‘Phantom Targets’ project, along with an Event, in the upcoming 1.42 Live update.

Highlights of the 1.40 update include:

* Phantom Targets: Project Part 1: Starting today, Raiders can begin Part 1 of the six-stage ‘Phantom Targets’ Project. Raiders willing to go Topside to find more data to explain some unusual signals discovered in Shani’s surveillance will be able to obtain rewards for completing the first three steps, with Part 2 of the project unlocking with Live update 1.42 on August 18. 

* Phantom Targets: Player Event: Also starting August 18 through September 7, players can take part in the new ‘Phantom Targets’ event, where they will be able to unlock rewards, including cosmetics, gameplay items and Raider Tokens, through earning Merits. 

* Embark Summer Celebration: Embark continues to celebrate summer across worlds with both ARC Raiders and THE FINALS. Through August 20, players who log 3 hours in ARC Raiders will earn the Azimuth Bundle in THE FINALS.

* New Cosmetic DLC – Tick Hunter Set: Starting today, players will also be able to wishlist the Tick Hunter Set on Steam. Arriving on August 18, the Tick Hunter Set retails at $20 and contains the Tick Hunter Outfit in 4 color variants, as well as a backpack, backpack charm, face tattoo and 2,400 Raider Tokens.

* New Cosmetics in the in-game store The Volare set will be available in the in-game store in Black and Yellow variants, and on August 11 the Vulpine set will also be available in Green Camo and Black color variants.
