If you aren’t already looking forward to the release of Dishonored this fall, I have two questions to ask. First, what the heck is wrong with you? Second, have you seen this new video? The trailer released today shows off gameplay from the first-person stealth action game which is set to hit PC, PS3, and 360 later this year. In it, you can see royal bodyguard turned vengeful assassin Corvo taking out enemies and being generally awesome while surrounded by wacky Steampunk technology. See for yourself after the break.
Dishonored casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. You are Corvo, the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is besieged by plague and ruled by a corrupt government armed with strange technologies, dark forces bestow supernatural abilities upon you.
The official North American release date for Dishonored is October 9, 2012.
