Nintendo has announced that Mario Kart 8 will be supporting the upcoming Amiibo figures with unlockable costumes.
Using a compatible Amiibo figure with the game will unlock a costume based on that character for Miis to wear during racing. Characters currently supported include Mario, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, Peach, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Luigi and Captain Falcon. You can get a look at all the unlockable costumes in the trailer above.
The first wave of Amiibos will be launching on November 21st.
