Stray, the adorable and critically acclaimed game where you get to become a cat, will release a physical edition for the PlayStation 4 on November 8th, 2022 for an MSRP of $39.99. Previously only a PlayStation 5 version had been announced, which will ship on September 20th, 2022. The story, while simple, is enchanting with each new discovery – with some that may just make you shed a tear. Gameplay doesn’t break new ground, but feels unique from the perspective of a cat, which is handled purrfectly. Annapurna Interactive and iam8bit, in distribution partnership with Skybound Games, are excited to announce that the retail edition of Stray will come to PlayStation 4 on November 8 for $39.99 and include six full-color art cards alongside the physical copy of the game. Players that purchase the PlayStation 4 retail edition will also get a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version of Stray.
Stray is the critically acclaimed third-person cat adventure game developed by BlueTwelve Studio that captured the hearts of cat lovers and players across the world when it launched earlier this summer. The PlayStation 5 retail edition of Stray will begin shipping on September 20 and the PlayStation 4 version will ship on November 8. Fans can pre-order both versions of the game now.
In addition to the retail versions, pre-orders for the iam8bit Exclusive Edition for $44.99 on both of the aforementioned platforms are also available exclusively via iam8bit.com, alongside the double LP black vinyl soundtrack by composer Yann Van Der Cruyssen. The iam8bit Exclusive Edition will begin shipping in Q4 2022 while the upcoming vinyl will ship in Q1 2023.
