Ron Lenzi has been writing for Gaming Trend since 2009, when he covered the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, WA for the site.
Ron's experience in gaming goes back to his first Commodore 64 in 1984, where he was introduced to classic games such as F-15 Strike Eagle, Elite, Questron, and The Bard's Tale. He's had an on-again, off-again relationship with console gaming, owning several Nintendo consoles, the Playstation 2, and most recently waited in line for 14 hours in 2006 for the launch of the Nintendo Wii. Currently Ron plays games on his newer Windows PC setup and the Xbox 360.
Ron has had several brushes with the gaming industry. Most notably he was in the "Ring of 1000" beta testers for Diablo (check the credits of the game!), ran an IRC channel for Daggerfall which the lead programmer frequented to collect bug reports and create patches (Hi Hal!), competed in a competition for the PS2 title 'Wild 9' at the Playboy Mansion, and has participated in closed and open beta tests for many Massively Multiplayer games including Ultima Online, Everquest, and Star Wars Galaxies.
