MechWarrior Online Gameplay Video and Tons of New Screens

If you’ve been looking forward to more details about MechWarrior Online, I suggest you sit down before reading the rest of this post. If you’re already sitting, prepare yourself for the huge amount of Mech awesomeness headed your way. The Catapult screenshots we shared last week look like just a tease compared to the gameplay video and over 40 screenshots released today. Read on for all of the new goodies from MechWarrior Online, set to release this summer.

We have some seriously epic Mech awesomeness coming your way today with MechWarrior Online, the upcoming online title from Piranha Games due out this summer.

First up are the first in-game screens of Mech Lab, the ultimate Mech customization tool. This is the place where you buy your base Mech and build it up with lasers, guns, armor, skins, ammunition and more.

Additionally, included below are the first ever in-game screens of the brand new Dragon Mech. At 60 tons and boasting such a massive engine, the Dragon travels 86.4 km/h. It is clearly designed to let the pilot choose when and where combat happens (and likely how it ends). With the indirect-fire capabilities of the Telos DecaCluster LRM-10 combined with the range of the Imperator-A Autocannon/5, the Dragon will be able to bring down most foes before they even get into the range of its two Victory 23R Medium Lasers.

And: Brand-new gameplay footage! BOOM!

Phew, that’s a lot of content. Check it out:

Breanna has been gaming since infancy, if gnawing on an unattended controller counts as playing a game. One of the younger members of the Gaming Trend family, she dabbled in PC games as a kid but wasn't fully consumed by the hobby until the sixth generation of consoles. Now an avid PC and console gamer, she looks forward to the day when she can scape together enough cash to join the next gen club.

In the last week of middle school, a math teacher taught her how to program a calculator; she was pretty much hooked then and there. Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science and Applied Math, Breanna hope to someday make games instead of just writing about them. Other hobbies include playing guitar, binge-watching Netflix, and cooking delicious food.
