Now that the Xbox One is emulating Xbox 360 games, Microsoft is looking into adding some of these older games to the new console’s digital storefront.
News of this comes from Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, who told a fan on Twitter that Microsoft has “heard this request and [is] working on a solution.”
The Xbox One’s backwards compatibility launched last month with 104 playable games at launch, including the original Mass Effect and Borderlands. The feature currently only works with discs and games digitally purchased through the Xbox 360 marketplace. However, if Microsoft adds these games to the Xbox One store, users will have new means to access these games.
Backwards compatibility was part of a massive update the Xbox One received in November, one that brought several new features and a new UI.
