According to joystiq, this indie 2D side-scroller is going to be coming to Arcade later this year.  I never did end up finding a copy for XBox when it came out, and this one should be only about $10 with some possible new features for fans of the original.

Of course, if you have a copy for the original XBox you are probably just frustrated because the extremely cutting edge graphics technology has made it impossible to emulate on the 360.

It didn't come out for the Xbox in North America, only the GameCube and PS2.  In Europe it came out on Xbox and PS2 but not GameCube.

I got it for the PS2.  A good game but extremely difficult.  It has an insane amount of style and humor.  I just wish I was better at it.

Their other game, Castle Crashers, looks great as well.

Oh, and it was originally a Flash game which you can play here.

I hope they release R-Type for Live Arcade.  SF2, Galaga and R-Type would be my trifecta

The same team made the Flash game Dad n Me, which was in the Independent Games Festival this year and is pretty fun to play.
