I’m a big fan of Lepro’s products, having reviewed both their TB1 and TB2 table lamps, so I jumped at the chance to check out the Lepro O1 AI Floor Lamp. The O1 combines the ease of use and customization options of Lepro’s table lamps into a highly versatile floor lamp, capable of switching between basic lighting and party lighting (including everything in between) with a simple press of a button on your app. The O1 is also surprisingly sturdy, sporting a heavy base and high-quality components, weighing in right around 10 lbs. when fully assembled.

You wouldn’t be blamed if you believed that a full-size floor lamp from a lighting company known for their unique and colorful lighting accessories would be more of a novelty rather than something functional enough for daily use, but you’d be mistaken. Lepro has done a fantastic job of ensuring that the O1 is fully capable of serving as your standard lamp, while offering the flexibility to switch to nearly any color or effect imaginable to suit your current mood or activity. This versatility stems from the O1’s built in LEDs, capable of 16 million RGB colors, which range from a color temperature of 2700 to 5700K with a surprising 2300LM top brightness, easily capable of lighting up a mid-sized room.

Below is a quick short detailing the incredibly simple assembly and setup process, along with a few examples of the lamp’s capabilities:

Let’s dive a bit deeper into what the Lepro O1 is capable of. It is equipped with Lepro’s AI LightGPM 3.0, which is a large language AI model trained in lighting design and color psychology. Essentially, the app is capable of instantly creating endless color schemes and lighting patterns on a whim, ensuring you always have the perfect lighting to fit your current mood. Making the use of this AI even easier is the inclusion of voice control, allowing you to simply open the app and state “I am happy”, “I feel sad”, “I’m in the mood to party”, or other similar basic phrases or emotions. When doing so the light will instantly offer multiple customized lighting schemes which typically utilize colors associated with that mood or phrase. For example, red lighting for when you’re angry, multi-colored lighting for when you are having a party, blue lighting for when you’re sad, etc. It is all very intuitive and normally does a pretty great job of matching your mood. If you happen to not like the choices offered, you can simply click to view more, and additional custom settings will be provided.

If you find that the AI isn’t quite figuring out the colors or lighting pattern you are going for, you can always create your own custom lighting scheme, which is hindered only by your imagination. You can easily select the colors you wish to utilize, the speed of the design, the brightness level, hue, and more. Once you find the perfect light settings, you can favorite it to be easily accessible in the future.

Additional modes include LightBeats Music Sync, which allows the O1 to sync with any music in the immediate area, either via a built-in mic in the lamp or through the app. When doing so you have the option to swap between multiple settings, each with their own color scheme and light pattern. The O1 also supports Alexa and Google Assistant control options via Bluetooth and 2.4G Wi-Fi.

Assembly is as easy as three interconnecting poles, a plug, and screwing in the top cylinder, meaning that the total time from unboxing to completion will be just a few minutes, with the app setup taking maybe another minute or two more.

Speaking of the Lepro App, it continues to be fantastic and the bar by which I judge all other light apps. After downloading and setting up your account, the app will instantly recognize any nearby Lepro devices, allowing you to simply click the device and begin setup. Connecting is as simple as choosing your unit, naming the unit, and logging into your Wi-Fi. Afterwards the app, and light, should work seamlessly with no lag or connection issues. The O1 Floor Lamp, like the TB1 and TB2 I covered previously, works without a hitch. I’ve spent years messing around with various lights, and Lepro is the only one which I’ve had a flawless app experience with.

The O1 features a very minimal design, which is sleek enough to effortlessly blend into the background of a room, while being robust enough to become the center of attention when needed. Standing at 60” tall, the O1 has a net weight of just under 10 lbs., and a surprising minimal width of only 3.2” for the lighting cylinder. Despite its skinny stature, the O1 leaves a big impression.
