Enhance's light-up acrylic dice tower is easy to assemble and rolls dice perfectly well. Though it lacks a few features that would make it stand out even more against other towers, there's nothing so wrong with it that would keep you from enjoying the sight and sound of your dice tumbling down.

Out of the box, the acrylic sheets are protectively wrapped and have the acrylic standard protective stickers, so no components were scuffed before unboxing. These stickers actually have a little green tab on each of them, which made peeling them off incredibly easy and saved my nails from picking at the edges to get a good grip.
Even without any assembly instructions, the tower is simple enough that you're unlikely to encounter any difficulty slotting the pieces together. While the wooden base piece has cutouts for the tower bottoms, they are too wide to give any friction or stability to the tower, and balancing the initial construct until enough pieces hold it together can be annoying. The lack of adhesion between the tower and the base also makes it problematic to move around as you have to carefully balance everything lest it fall off the base and crash into the floor. The only logical way to store it is then by taking the whole thing apart and stashing the pieces someplace.

The colors from the base are nice and vibrant, with modes to display a specific color or slowly cycle through them all. There’s a diffusing material between the LEDs and the acrylic, which prevents harsh direct light from shining into any player’s eyes. However, I suspect that due to this diffuser, the LEDs don’t light the dice tower up very much in fully lighted conditions. The light looks concentrated at the bottom section, with very little highlighting the top of the tower.

I messed around with the lighting and found that the lights look great in the darkness… except you can’t see the numbers on the dice very well. Which would defeat the purpose of the tower, and it’s hard to play a game in the dark anyway. Turning on only lights from an adjacent room reached a decent medium, where the tower lights up nicely without making it impossible to read anything. I don’t know if I would be willing to go through this much effort on game night to ensure my dice tower looks its best, but it does look pretty.

I have a couple of minor nitpicks, though a lack of friction-fit is the main detractor. The front of the base has a cutout with the diffusion material in it, but there are no LEDs beneath it. This means that only the sides of the tower are illuminated, not the front stop. Also, the dice that came with the tower are fairly cloudy, rather than a nice clear. While the dice are simply an extra bonus to pair with the tower, I wish they were at least nice enough to go in my bag o’ dice and not look slightly grimy.
Enhance LED Dice Tower and Dice Set
Alright
Enhance’s LED Dice Tower is easy to assemble and looks nice on your table. The colors are vibrant, even if they don’t fully illuminate the acrylic while under daylight. Lack of friction-fitting or some sort of latching means the tower is unstable when moving, but is fine while sitting on the table and rolling dice.
Pros
- Easy to assemble
- Clean look
- Bright LEDs
Cons
- Unstable while transporting
- LEDs don’t light up all the acrylic
- Dice could have been higher quality
