Cassian Andor, K-2SO, and Rebel Pathfinders (Selfa and Rodma, who are not named but it's clearly them) join Star Wars: Shatterpoint through the All the Way Squad Pack. Along with Jyn Erso, Bodhi Rook, Baze Malbus, and Chirrut Îmwe, you can run a full Rogue One-themed Shatterpoint team. If they are anything like their characters in the movie, they will prefer hit-and-run tactics and fast strikes, so let’s see how they look and play in Shatterpoint!

Unboxing

The whole squad comes on a single sprue and includes the four bases. Like all of the latest AMG expansions, there are four sets of cards, each for the four languages (English, French, German, and Spanish). I usually save my extras for the inevitable card update and use them as backers for my print-and-play cards.
Assembly
In general, Shatterpoint expansion assembly is pretty easy and the instructions are straightforward. For me, the QR code on the included sheet wasn't pulling up the right page, so I Googled it and found the right link:

There are some noticeable gaps in the shoulders, which is pretty normal for these pieces. You can probably get away without needing to gap fill them, but do make sure you dry-fit everything to avoid having even larger gaps. A simple plastic gap filler, like Tamiya or Sprue Goo, is an easy way to fill gaps. There are mold lines throughout the models, which are easy to remove.

The figures assemble pretty quickly, and I got them all assembled, the gaps filled, the mold lines removed, and everything ready for priming within 20 minutes.

As I do with my with all of my other Shatterpoint miniatures, I prime and paint the figures separately from the bases. I use double sided tape and affix them to extras bases. This allows me to quickly and freely paint the bases separately, assembling the model to the base once both are done.
Cards & Abilities
Cassian Andor

Boasting 9 SP and 2 Force, Cassian is meant to be a leader. His powers are best suited with Rebel Alliance and Spy keywords, but that doesn't mean he can't hold his own. At 10 health and an 8-die ranged attack, he can dish out damage both through attacks and through his abilities, even going so far as to add dice (at the cost of dealing damage to friendlies) through his 'We've All Done Terrible Things.' 'This Town is Ready to Blow' can cause a setback to your opponent after they claim a Struggle card by dealing damage to those characters contesting one or more Active objectives.
Cassian is not a beat stick; he's a leader who enhances his allied units and can fight when he needs to. I think it's important to ensure your team is built appropriately with him and that, on the battlefield, they're situated to gain full use of his powers during the game.
K-2SO

K-2SO, the unfiltered friend, is meant to keep your Rebel Alliance and Spy allies fighting. For 5 PC, he does bring a lot of support to Cassian, but also to other friendly units. 'Congratulations, You are Being Rescued' offers a reaction attack against an enemy unit. Both 'Lockdown' and 'Goodbye' are objective-related abilities, with 'Goodbye' allowing K-2SO to spend momentum tokens to move the Struggle token at the cost of him being defeated (which could potentially win you the game). He can deal a fair amount of damage on his combat tree, and defensively he can take a lot of damage.
Rebel Pathfinders

Meant to infiltrate, the Rebel Pathfinders can move and hold. They benefit from having a Hunker token, which they gain from their 'Defensive Maneuver' and 'Camouflage' abilities, as well as Cassian and K-2SO. For 4 PC, they have a rather straightforward combat tree and their abilities come across as just consistent. They do benefit from having the Spy keyword, which gives them some bonuses from Cassian, so on paper they're solid Rebel units meant to move in and hold a position. Supported by K-2SO, they could be difficult to remove from an entrenched position.
Competitive Ranking
If competitive play is your jam, then this expansion pack is for you. As of this article's posting, Cassian Andor stands at the top of the leaderboards, according to matches recorded on Longshanks, the popular tournament site for running all kinds of gaming events. Cassian pairs well with pretty much every squad out there, giving him a massive edge with battlefield control. Whether you go thematic with other Rogue One, or want to pair him with him with some of the other high-ranking primary units and their squad, Cassian will take your team all the way to victory.
Star Wars: Shatterpoint All The Way Squad Pack
Great
These Rogue One characters have some solid combat abilities, with Cassian providing some options and lethality for the unit and team. Paired with any Rebel unit, but best with the This is Rogue One Squad Pack, this squad is a force to be reckoned with. All three bring some combat effectiveness and could really make it difficult for enemies to defeat them.
Pros
- Rogue One characters!
- Cassian is a great leader piece.
- Pairs well with other Rebel units.
Cons
- Noticeable, but fixable, gaps
