The team at UGREEN have teamed up with HoYoverse to celebrate five years of their hit game, Genshin Impact.  Not every game or movie tie-in product is all that great, and you often end up with a less-than-wonderful product with a graphic plastered on it.  That’s not what’s happening here.  UGREEN not only branded one of their very best and most powerful batteries with a Kinich graphic, but they’ve also spiced up a bunch of their other best-selling gear. I like fun tie-ins like this, but it’s better when it’s on something with some utility.  Let’s take at how UGREEN and HoYoverse have teamed up to celebrate Genshin Impact!

If you’re unfamiliar with Genshin Impact, it’s a free-to-play games-as-service open-world action RPG, released in 2020 for Android iOS, PS4, and Windows, with PS5 coming April of 2021, and Xbox Series X|S just recently in November of 2024.  Fielding four party members, you’ll explore the world of Teyvat, with the ability to team up with an additional three friends for co-op (and cross-platform) play.  You can unlock new characters, upgrade them, and outfit them by completing quests or engaging in the gacha mechanic for a chance at more rare loot.  The combat uses a paper-rock-scissors-like elemental system with air, fire, water, and earth, as well as ice, electricity, and plants.  Not unlike what you’d see in a game like Baldur’s Gate III, these can inflict status effects, or even cancel out the opposite one, making planning and execution a bit more engaging. With over 60 million players, it’s easily one of the most popular games of its kind.

One of the distinct features of Genshin Impact is an anime-inspired Manga-esque stylization that brings their characters to life.  They are expressive, and the world is awash in bright colors that approaches cell shaded.  It’s effectively Anime in motion.  It also has a number of fun characters, and many have pixel-art sidekicks that bring the world to life with exaggerated gestures and animations – again, just like an Anime.  One of the most popular is Kinich and his sidekick Ajaw.  Check it out:

UGREEN is well known for a number of devices like cables, hubs and docks, chargers, power banks, and even NAS devices. Their cable selections are rock-solid, with USB-C cables capable of handling a whopping 240W of power in addition to high-speed data. They also have plenty of charging hubs to fit just about any device or purpose, with USB-C GaN chargers with multiple ports, wall wart multi-port pluggables, car chargers, full desk charging appliances, a number of phone charger magnetic stations, and even little cute robot-shaped phone charger blocks are just scratching the surface of their offerings.  If you need a bit more connectivity in addition to charging, UGREEN has page upon page of dock sizes to fit every possible need.  From the tiniest 6-in-1 hubs that will fit in your pocket, ones with removable SSDs, ultra-powerful Thunderbolt docks, and a Steam Deck dock that I can personally vouch for having used it since the console’s launch. Solid gear all around.

For their Genshin Impact collaboration, UGREEN has given a makeover to their 2-in-1 magnetic wireless charger, as well as their 65W 3-port GaN Fast Charger.  Both feature both grey and bright neon green accents, with the Fast Charger sporting both Kinich and Ajaw on one side, and a 65W badge on the other on another field of grey accents. I like the graphics, but I love the annotation that this is a 65W – there’s no question about its capacity when you go to use it.

If you’re all in on Ajaw, then you’ll like the UGREEN + Genshin Impact charge cable.  It’s neon green (making it very easy to spot in a sea of cables at the bottom of your bag), but it should also be coiled up nicely thanks to a rubber Ajaw cable organizer.  The cable itself has a soft braided sheathe ending with a stress-relief and a badged USB-C end on each side.  Additionally, it’s also labeled as one that can carry a whopping 100W of power, so once again there’s no ambiguity on what the cable can do – a rarity among cables since manufacturers rarely label much of anything.

Beyond hubs, docks, and cables, UGREEN also has NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices that range from simple 2-bay backup appliances to behemoth Enterprise-grade 8-bay devices with dual NICs, a ton of hardware power for hardware encoding, and up to 208 TB of on-demand local storage – perfect for a NAS, backup, or Plex server, or all three!

Last but not least is the area where a lot of people first discover UGREEN, and that’s their battery packs.  If you own a Steam Deck, then you know that you can’t charge it properly or quickly off of a standard battery pack or cable.  Any third-party cable has to be at least 45W, and any battery would need the same.  You can use 30W for slow charging, but if you’re playing while you’re charging, you’ll be draining faster than you’re charging.  As such, you’ll want to pick up a 65W or stronger PD 3.0 battery.  Granted, the Steam Deck won’t draw beyond the 45W maximum, but any extra can be used for charging additional devices like your phone or even a laptop at higher wattages.

For this team-up with Genshin Impact, the team selected a 130W PD3.0 power bank, complete with a smart digital display to tell you your charging levels, how much you’ve got left in reserve, and more.  This compact little device is easy to carry, capable of powering a laptop or Macbook Air, iPad, and other larger devices if needed.  There are a number of options for sizes, but the one we’re looking at today is the largest capacity you’re allowed to take on a plane – 20,000mAh.  With that kind of power at your fingertips you could charge an iPhone 15 four times over with a bit to spare, just as an example.  Since it has two USB-C and one USB-A ports, you can even charge two devices simultaneously or charge the battery itself while still charging any USB-C connected items.

Firing up the device, you’ll see a cool little pixel art animation of Ajaw spring to life, give you a cheeky look, and then spiral into the background before transitioning to the information display about the battery usage.  Similarly, when you shut down the battery, you’ll be treated to Ajaw in his “The Almighty Dragonlord K'uhul Ajaw” form. It’s a great nod to the pixel art duo – a fan favorite to be sure, and a nice touch beyond just a simple reskinned device.

Beyond the utility devices like batteries and chargers, UGREEN and Genshin Impact also collaborated for things like pop-socket phone holders, lanyards, magnets (hello again Ajaw!), and even a small bag to hold it all.

Some of these UGREEN and Genshin Impact collaborations are just for fun, but a lot of these are UGREEN’s best offerings.  If you were already considering buying a high-powered and robust charger or cable to plug it in, why not spice it up with something a little more fun?

You can pick up ALL of these by the time you read this at UGREEN.com.  Thanks again to UGREEN and HoYoverse for letting us take a closer look at this collaboration.  If you're interested in any of these, drop by the Amazon link right here and pick some up for yourself!
