Evergreen Gen Con Preview- What you should be pining for

Evergreen Gen Con Preview- What you should be pining for
Published:

A few years ago, Photosynthesis came on the scene with a unique idea that ultimately fell short for a lot of people.

Well, this Gem Con, Horrible Guild brought it back with a deep mechanical overhaul and a fresh coat of paint in the form of Evergreen.

Each round, players take turns drafting a biome card from the available array, performing their actions in the corresponding zone, along with using the card’s power. Finally, the leftover card is added to the fertile area, affecting how end-game scoring will work.

After a few rounds, seasons will change, triggering scoring for light and largest forest, and ultimately moving the sun  clockwise to the next side of players’ boards. Just like a year, four seasons pass, and the game ends.
