After a poor launch in Japan, it looks like the Chinese launch of the Xbox One went markedly better.
Kotaku has some images of the Xbox One’s launch in China, and people seem to actually be excited for the console’s launch. Midnight releases brought in huge lines, likely due to the fact that the system is the first console launch in the territory in over 14 years. When there will be hard numbers on how the console sold is unknown, but anecdotally the system seems to be bringing in crowds.
The Xbox One was confirmed for Chinese release after the territory’s console ban was lifted. Microsoft has taken great strides to make the system appeal to the Chinese audience.
Recently, it was confirmed that Halo 5 will receive a full Chinese localization.
