Xbox’s General Manager in Japan, Takashi Sensui, has resigned from his position after the poor sales of the Xbox One in the territory.
Sensui has not left Microsoft, however, and will now be taking on the role of General Manager for the Interactive Entertainment Business at the company’s Redmond office. Company execs Yoshinami Takahashi and Nobuyoshi Yokoi are now helming the Xbox brand in Sensui’s place.
The Xbox One’s situtation has only grown more dire in Japan since its poor launch. This isn’t uncommon for the Xbox brand in the region, as both the original Xbox and Xbox 360 suffered similarly poor sales in the East.
