WWE 2K16 cover superstar announced, hell shall be raised

Today, 2K Sports announced that “The Rattlesnack” Stone Cold Steve Austin will be on the cover of WWE 2K16.

Stone Cold is well known for being the driving force during the WWE’s Attitude Era, which took place in the late 90’s leading into the 21st century. There have been a lot of rumors of how heavily Stone Cold Steve Austin will be featured in the newest game, and this just confirms that the legend will be the driving force.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with 2K to support the WWE 2K franchise, and now I’m absolutely honored to serve as the WWE 2K16 cover Superstar,” said Stone Cold Steve Austin. “No disrespect to the previous and extremely deserving WWE 2K cover Superstars – Dwayne ‘The Rock®’ Johnson and John Cena® – but it’s about time the franchise raised some hell with yours truly on the cover. I look forward to injecting a dose of ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ into this year’s game and overall campaign.”

As a fan, this is a great sign due to the fact that it means Stone Cold may be making some more appearances on WWE television, something he has not done since Wrestlemania XXX.

WWE 2K16 will be released on October 27th for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4.
