Liberty Harbor brings the star-studded legacy of the US Navy to World of Warships
On October 13th, the US Navy will celebrate 250 years, and to mark the occasion, World of Warships is bringing a limited-time event known as Liberty Harbor to players. Starting on October 9th, players will uncover the story of a young naval officer, raised on the iconic stories of his father, who served in the US Navy as a naval base commander. Following the return to his childhood home, the young boy discovers his classic toy naval base, Liberty Harbor, where he recalls the stories and lessons taught by his father as he works to rebuild it to its former glory.
With the Liberty Harbor naval base, players will be able to construct four areas. Starting with Naval Commander, here, special combat missions for Random, Ranked, and Brawls can be completed. Moving onto Operational Command, players can conquer special combat missions for Operations, Co-op Battles, and temporary battle types. The Military Port will enable players to send their ships on Expeditions, and finally, Fuel Terminal allows players to tackle more missions in the other areas. By completing these missions and dispatching fleets on Expeditions, Naval Base Supplies can be earned, which can be exchanged to build and upgrade areas of Liberty Harbor.
Each location consists of three levels, with every upgrade boosting its visuals and functionality. As these are constructed, the event progress bar will fill up, offering rewards such as stories of past US Navy exploits. In-game rewards will also be available, including the Navy 250th anniversary flag; US Commander John Barry, the father of the U.S Navy; Blue, Gold, and White permanent camouflage; Battle Lines of the Pacific permanent camouflage for Tier X American battleship Montana; and the final reward will be Tier VIII American cruiser Bridgeport. To cap off the celebration, two dedicated ports in honor of the US Navy will also be available for players around the world to enjoy.
A new Pan-Asian destroyer moors in the Dockyard
The gates to the Dockyard have opened once again, and for the October update, it is welcoming Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun B with 35 phases to complete. This black variant of the original Lüshun vessel comes equipped with four fast-reloading 130mm guns, packing high damage, alongside ten torpedo tubes that pack a powerful underwater punch. What she lacks in manoeuvrability, she makes up for with concealment, in addition to the Heavy Repair Team and Hydroacoustic Search consumables to assist in the heat of battle.
Celebrate Reunification Day with an all-new Event Pass
October 3rd marks 35 years since East and West Germany became one country again after being divided for decades. To coincide with this anniversary, the Unity, Justice, Freedom Event Pass brings a boatload of German-themed content to unlock. Across the progression line, Commander Goldelse, the Black, Red, and Gold permanent camouflage, and the Iron Cross permanent camouflage for F. Schultz will be available to earn. A second progression line can also be unlocked, granting immediate access to Commander Delphius Ora-cle as a bonus reward. Progressing further will unlock the Infernal permanent camouflage for Tier VIII and Tier X ships, as well as German Tier VI battleship Prinz Eitel Friedrich.
The October update for World of Warships concludes the continuation of 10th anniversary festivities, as the Grand Voyage event and temporary battle type, Blast from the Past, remain for players to enjoy. Finally, a new line of German Kriegsmarine cruisers joins Early Access, Brawls returns for another season, a new rare British aircraft carrier known as Ocean enters the Armory, and Battle Chat changes, along with various gameplay additions, round out a boat-filled update.
