Wizards of the Coast revealed a new setting coming to Dungeons & Dragons. D&D Universes Beyond: World of Warcraft. Our own Steven Starkey has worked to summarize all the announcements while crowdsurfing around Gen Con:
Starting on July 30th, 2026, players will be able to pre-order D&D World of Warcraft! That’s right, a 256 page book containing everything you need to adventure in Azeroth, including eleven new species, lore about WoW races with things like elven lineages for the five varieties of WoW elves, nine subclasses (six new ones including Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Shadow Priests), and iconic locations like the Icecrown Citadel and Orgrimmar. The WoW setting products will include a book with both standard and hobby store exclusive covers, a special collector's edition, which comes in a slip case with Alliance and Horde logos on the front and the back, a WoW focused DM screen, and a map pack. There will also be an online digital adventure for a five-character party from levels sixteen to twenty. In partnership with Hasbro, there will be a small line of miniatures. WoW in D&D will bring you new magic items, artifacts, dungeons, new monsters, new mounts, new companion creatures, and new spells.
