Wizards of the Coast released the Dungeons & Dragons x Magic: The Gathering set today

Wizards of the Coast released the Dungeons & Dragons x Magic: The Gathering crossover card set, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, today. It is now available on MTG Arena.

According to Wizards of the Coast,

The set introduces 327 cards and is the first crossover set that allows players to experience the world of Dungeons & Dragons with Magic: the Gathering. It introduces flavourful new mechanics, unique types of treatments for the card visual designs and lets players explore one of their favourite worlds in a totally different context for the first time ever.

New mechanics include

  • Venture into the Dungeon: Allows players to explore three iconic dungeons; The Tomb Of Annihilation, Lost Mines of Phandelver, and Dungeon of the Mad Mage, triggering a new ability each time they do.
  • Class Enchantments: A new type of enchantment that lets players take on class abilities, providing a resource that can activate on the trigger or stay through the game.
  • Roll A D20: What Dungeons & Dragons adaptation doesn’t include Dice Rolling? Many cards in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms will ask players to roll a twenty-sided dice, with better results the better the roll.

It also introduces rulebook cards that are inspired by early Monster Manual art and land cards that are in the style of classic D&D adventure modules.

Players can view the complete card gallery card list here and the variant card gallery list here.

Physical cards are now available for preorder on Amazon.
