Warframe players can now fuel the journey to Warframe: Tau in a limited time event

Warframe players can hop into Epoch Operation: Taubound to earn rewards and help collect fuel to drive progress to a new Star System. Players can also play a new experimental game mode called The Icebind, a cooperative challenge. For full details, see the information below:

LONDON, Ontario – Oct. 15, 2026 – Digital Extremes invites players on all platforms to join Epoch Operation: Taubound, a monumental in-game community event uniting generations of Warframe players to work cooperatively and fuel the journey to Warframe: Tau, arriving later this year. New and returning players can tackle activities before Tuesday, Nov. 17, earn event rewards, and collect resources to fuel the course to a new Star System, while diving back into The Lotus’ memories in a narrative Prologue Quest, Prologue to Tau.

Between community activities, band together with allies in a squad of six to take on Warframe’s newest experimental game mode, The Icebind, a challenging series of tasks that require heightened cooperation and promise new rewards and challenges.

“It’s no small task to travel the void of space toward an entirely new Star System, but I know the Warframe community is up for the challenge,” said Megan Everett, Community Director. “Community is our nexus. Our players are our champions. And so we call to them, new and returning, for this incredibly special time in Warframe’s storied history, to rise to the occasion and reach for new stars. Together, we will discover what has become of Tau.”

The limited-time Epoch Operation: Taubound community event is comprised of two parts, a global objective to work towards, and a new narrative Prologue Quest:

* Anyone may take part in this historic moment in Warframe’s story after completing the Vor’s Prize tutorial Quest:

* Fulfill Praghasa’s required milestones by Nov. 17 and discover the cost of what it takes to get to Tau…

* Push Warframe’s narrative forward and band together with the global community through collective action to build a road to the Tau star system.

* Harvest the new resource, Moonflesh, on Eris or from timed Alert missions and deposit it to Praghasa for event rewards like the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp weapon skin, Khadati Sumdali ship attachment, Dhampyre Syandana backpiece, and many more.

* Tune into Praghasa’s transmissions after 7 p.m. ET each day as she speaks for the first time to tell her tale.

* Keep track of the community’s progress via the in-game Events tracker to watch the bar fill toward a new path to Tau.

* Following completion of The Old Peace and The Hex story Quests:

* Accept the Prologue Quest, Prologue to Tau, and play as The Lotus for the first time in Warframe’s storied history to relive her memories.

* Awaken the Vessel and assign its first task: harvest resources to fuel the journey to the Tau System.

* Deploy to the surface of Eris, annihilate the hordes of giant Infested with the Vessel’s overwhelming might, and gather fuel for the Sentient Mothership, Praghasa.

* Prologue to Tau will remain a permanent addition to Warframe’s Quest Codex whether it was unlocked during Epoch Operation: Taubound or not.

Seek out greater challenges with the recently launched six-player mission type, The Icebind:

Head to Yuvan Peak and recruit five other friends to form a squad of six, each with only one type of Warframe, for a new kind of game mode requiring heightened cooperation and teamwork. Offer up one Cryobell key per squadmate and vote on which set of randomized modifiers, like enemy faction, level layout, mission objectives, and potential debuffs, the team will need to overcome together. Coordinate strategies across four different phases and earn one of dozens of treasures to pick from Melica’s Glacial Laboratory upon completion.
