2K Games has announced one of their exclusive pre-order only characters for WWE 2K14, and James Hellwig it is! Better known by his ring name, Ultimate Warrior, of course. If you watched wrestling in the late eighties (or if you simply know your history), you know the Warrior. He was the Intercontinental Champion for way too long and even somehow ended up winning the WWE (at the time, WWF) Championship over Hulk Hogan to become the first person to hold both the Intercontinental and WWE Championship at the same time.

An example to others that they, too, can do things larger than the life they are actually living, and Ultimate Warrior was the pure embodiment of this belief, in what has proven to be a very attention-getting and inspiring way,” said Warrior. “It was my good fortune to be his creator and performer, and I am humbled by all those fans who’ve not only kept his legacy alive, but deepened it over time. In WWE 2K14, Ultimate Warrior’s creed, ‘Always Believe,’ lives on.”
WWE 13 was arguably the first good wrestling game in years so I know we’re all curious to see if that holds up in this latest installment. I’m far from a fan of Warrior so it’s going to take a lot more to convince this former wrestling lover. What about you all?
