You probably spotted David’s review of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition just the other day (and the fact that it’s the large banner at the top of your screen as you read this), but now you have a chance to check out the game for yourself as it has shipped to shelves for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, both retail and digital. Here’s a nibble from that review:
The real reason to grab this game again is to experience its fantastic, harrowing story once again — or, for the first time. While its narrative can feel like a low-brow television serial at times, it features some of the most compulsively entertaining gameplay from last-gen, and it still feels just as fun as ever. There’s a reason why we nominated it for our best game of 2013, and the Definitive Edition showcases that reason perfectly.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was an incredible adventure, and now we can experience it with an incredible jump in visual fidelity, as well as all of the DLC up to this point. You can see for yourself in the launch video above.
Tomb Raider is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
